The Slideshow Gallery: "As I see it"
A constant stream of images flows by me each day. Hiking, driving in my car, sitting in a room full of people...... Some are long narrow strips, a close-up panorama shot, like you experience when you hike through a wooden forest. Some are great vistas across valleys or gorges, like you see standing on an outcropping of rock on a mountain hike. Others are small, close images of tiny flowers hunkered down against the elements on a mountain top or hiding from the sun in the shade of a tree. A room full of students having tea reveals one face bathed in perfect photographer's light filtered through a sun hat and enhanced with reflecting sun light from a white table cloth. Children dancing at a wedding. A storm heading up a mountain pass. Whispy clouds reflected in the hood of an Italian sports car. Rain off the edge of a cliff in the Colorado mountains, seemingly close enough to touch. Sunlight shining through stained glass in an old church in Boston. A model in a chicken wire veil who stares directly at the camera and rubber duckies on a stair landing waiting their time to amuse and swim again.
